Music
There are two kinds of people in the world. And Chuck ain’t one of them. Chuck’s music is not made for the general public. Neither is he, for that matter. First release in 40 years. It’s the economy, Genius, or, Lazy old musician finally hits 10,000-hour mark.
Afflicted with music since fifth grade, when I found my uncle’s trumpet in my grandmother’s attic it really changed when my father brought me a $25 guitar from Spain when I was fourteen. I got a rotating circular chord chart from a music store and spent many days and nights, guitar and chart, in a roofed tree house.

| In 1962 ( pre Beatles and Dylan), it was top 40 radio, Peter Paul, and Mary. Kingston trio, Brothers Four, and Sunday afternoon black and white TV with Flatt & Scruggs. |
| 1963 – Original bass guitar player with Birmingham’s “Bassmen” Band (Tommy Allison, Mike Easter, Rob Hackney.) |

1964 left my best buddies to join Birmingham’s “Showman” Band . Big mistake- I needed the money to pay off an amp. (Sam McDavid, Bill Burns, Craig Fulford, Louis Geigus, Robbie Robertson, Kent Donovan)
Had folk duo high school years with “Bassmen” drummer Tommy Allison on banjo. Other musical influences other than radio rock and roll in high school and college included Leadbelly, Mississippi John Hurt, Andres Segovia, and the Clancy Brothers with Tommy Makem. |
| 1967 – 1970, Reunited with “Bassmen” Tommy Allison and Mike Easter (now on bass) to play keyboards for college group the “Candy Store Prophets” ( a.k.a. Auburn ATO Band) with Jamie Grant and Tommy Johnson. |
| 1971 – 1974 acoustic music with Eddie Robinson in Birmingham. |
| 1975 – 1978 back to Auburn. Played guitar and banjo with “The Part Time Band” ( Randy McDaniel, Ames Herbert, and Chuck Tremaine.) |
| 1978 – 1981 back to Birmingham – “Silk and Steel” Band (Eddie Robinson, Wayne Carman, Dennis Pappas.) |
| 1987 – 1993 slim pickings in Nashville – song writing, writer’s nights, and cooking in Brown’s diner – a writer’s hangout. |
| 1993 back to Birmingham to settle down to happiness with Mary. Formed band “Maybe Mary” (Mary Johnson – now Mary Johnson-Butterworth, Eddie Robinson, and Carson Robinson.) |
| 1999 – present “Lost in the Ozone” band ( Jim Burruss, Bill Gibbs, Karen Pfeiffer, CarsonRobinson, and Eddie Robinson.) And giving private guitar lessons. |
| 2010 - concentrating on original material. |
